Wax Word Processing

Wax has a full featured collaborative Word Processor for creating text, adding tables and images, equations, track changes, comments and a lot more…

Top Level Directory Structure

The Top Level Directory Structure contains everything you need to access. Documents are stored in the Documents folder, Templates are for .css files used in Design mode.

Navigation is Easy

Navigating can be by clicking the folders and files, or by clicking the top bar. Selected files and folders are shown bolder.

Double clicking on a file opens it up in Edit Mode.

It works as expected

Wax has everything you expect from a word processor. The layout is a fairly well known pattern if you have used tools like Microsoft Word, Libre Office, or Google Docs.

The folder and files are displayed to the left of the document. You can hide the folder structure by clicking on the folder icon in the left menu bar.

Edit Mode

One thing to note about Wax is that when you are wanting to write or edit a document you will do it in the (default) Edit mode.

The Edit/Design toggle allows you to flip between the Word Processor and the Design Studio (see the chapter on this).

Collaborative Editing

When you share a document others can edit it at the same time as you. You will see their name appear in the text where they are typing.

Sharing a Document

Currently you share documents by sending the link to the document. The person you are sharing it with must have an account or create an account before they can work on the document.
